Aero Dynamic - How Bristol Won at Le Mans
Butterfield Press is proud to announce Aero Dynamic by Simon Charlesworth.
Aero Dynamic tells the scintillating story of what happened when a fledgling car company took on the big names of sports car racing with a novel low-drag racer. Featuring factory records, interviews and glorious wide-ranging photography, this book contains much content that has not been seen or published before. It covers the Racing Department’s 1952 foundation; who was involved with the team and how it came into existence; the men who designed, built and raced the cars; plus in-depth coverage of the classic French races in which Bristol competed in the 1953-1955 period.
Simon Charlesworth is a motor journalist, editor and member of the Guild of Motoring Writers. During his 25-year career, he has written for many motoring publications, magazines and outlets. Charlesworth specialises in the field of vintage and classic motoring, and has extensive road testing experience of all manner of cars, including most of the Bristol types. Born and raised in Bristol, within sight of the vast BAC Filton/Patchway complex, he is a recognised authority on the Bristol marque.
